Rev. Michael G. Ephraim, Sr.
Michael was born the oldest of two children in Los Angeles, California to J.C. and Leola Ephraim. At an early age, he developed a love for Christ and passion for serving in the church. Michael has served as an officer in the choir, youth usher board, Sunday school, Young People’s Division and several other local and Conference auxiliaries in the Southern California Annual Conference of the African Methodist Episcopal Church.
He was educated in the public school system of Los Angeles and furthered his education at Morris Brown College, Atlanta, Georgia. Michael is a retired Investigator for the Greene County Sheriff’s Office. Michael previously servedas an elected City Councilman and served as Mayor Pro Tem for the City of Sparta, Georgia. He is an active member of both the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials and the Georgia Municipal Association.
Reverend Ephraim earned his Masters of Divinity with a double concentration in Hebrew Bible and New Testament from ITC. He was ITC’s recipient of the 2014 Josephus R. Coan Theological Award. In January 2014, he was also awarded ITC’s Isaac R. Clarke Preaching Award.
As an Ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, Reverend Ephraim has skillfully served numerous churches throughout Georgia. His most recent assignments include The Lofton Circuit and Saint Peter AME (Fort Valley GA) churches. Presently, he is the proud pastor of Saint Paul AME Church in Macon, Georgia. He is the proud soul mate of his partner in ministry Lady Rosetta Buena Ephraim of Augusta Georgia. They are the parents of six children all together and also have three grandchildren.
When asked to summarize the most valuable lesson he has learned, Pastor Mike, as his members call him, without hesitation quotes the scripture: “O taste and see that the Lord is good…."
First Lady Rosetta Ephraim
First Lady Rosetta Buena Ephraim is the proud soul mate and partner in ministry to Rev. Ephraim. A native of Augusta, Georgia, Mrs. Ephraim is the Associate Director of Sales and Marketing at the Macon Marriott City Center. She is a gradate of Augusta State University, where she received her Bachelors in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. She and Rev. Ephraim are the parents of six children all together and also have three grandchildren.
